JEROME — Harold Gale Lewis, 74, of Jerome passed away surrounded by family, Friday, March 31, 2017 due to heart failure.
Together, they had seven children, Don Lamoyne Rasmussen (deceased), Myrna Slama (deceased), Melvin Steve Rasmussen, Vivian Lee Rasmussen (deceased), Lynn Calvin Rasmussen, Maureen (Howard) Wallace, and Kelvin B. Glen and Winona farmed in Springdale until 1956 when they moved to Twin Falls where they owned some apartment houses. He was in high demand as a finish carpenter, tile setter, and remodeler. He did tile setting in the Tyrolean Lodge in Ketchum, Idaho, and he plastered the Mc Call Hotel in Mc Call, Idaho. Glen used his woodworking skill to make many toys, games, and candy dispensers. He loved the out-of-doors and spent many hours fishing the streams and lakes of southern Idaho. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He learned how to do paintings by watching a show on T. Glen was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his parents; all of his brothers and sisters; his wife of 71 years; two sons; two daughters; a son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; and one grandson.
He was born in Wendell, Idaho to Elmer and Dora (Cooley) Lewis.
He was the third child of ten and attended school in several states. He was a truck driver for mart produce, hauled corn to the Burley plant, and even owned two trucks of his own.
A combined funeral for Glen and his daughter, Myrna Rasmussen Slama, who died on March 28, 2017, will be held at 1 p.m.
